Chocolate truffles are believed to have been invented in France in the 1920s, named after a luxurious and rare fungus due to their resemblance. The traditional French truffle is made with a simple ganache center, rolled in cocoa powder to give it an earthy look akin to the original truffle. Over time, truffles have evolved with various flavors and coatings to suit different palates.
The introduction of citrus to chocolate truffles adds a modern twist to the classic confection. The bright, tangy flavor of lemon beautifully compliments the deep, rich notes of dark chocolate, creating a unique and refreshing taste experience. Our combination highlights the versatility of truffles and how they can be adapted to include a variety of flavor profiles, making them a cherished treat worldwide.
