Thereβs something magical about creating desserts that not only taste amazing but also look stunning on the table. Pinecone Brownies are one of those treats that combine the best of both worlds! Made from a base of moist brownie crumbs and topped with crunchy Chocos cereal, these festive goodies look just like real pineconesβand theyβre so much fun to decorate!
How to make Pinecone Brownies?
- Prepare the Brownie Base – Use any brownie recipe to make the base. I used my favourite Brownie recipe. Get it here. Crumble the brownies and add milk to adjust texture till moldable.
- Shape the Pinecones – Take a small portion of the brownie mixture and roll it into a ball.Gently shape it into a cone by pinching the top and smoothing the sides.
- Make pinecone scales– Starting from the bottom of the cone, press Chocos cereal pieces into the base. Work your way up, layering the cereal to mimic the overlapping scales of a pinecone.
- Finishing Touches – Sprinkle them with powdered sugar to create a snowy effect, optional.
Tips for the Perfect Pinecone Brownies
- Brownie Crumbs Matter: Use brownies that are moist but firm enough to crumble well. Avoid overly fudgy brownies, as they may not hold the cone shape.
- Milk Adjustment: Add milk gradually to prevent the mixture from becoming too sticky.
- Chocos Placement: Press the cereal gently but firmly to ensure it stays in place.
Storing
Place the brownies in an airtight container to prevent them from drying out. Store them in the refrigerator for up to 4β5 days. Before serving, let them sit at room temperature for about 10β15 minutes for the best texture and flavour. To keep the Chocos crunchy, avoid exposing them to excessive humidity or moisture. Decorate with Chocos earliest 1 hour before serving, to keep the crunch
